Money

Slick, you missed again…

Everybody knows we got boocoops of corn. Even them fancy newspapers you read say so. We still export more of it than anybody else, even. Does that make sense? Usin’ up expensive fuel to transport something we need right here in the good ol’ U. S. of A. Geez, Looeez.

Besides, if you just quit eating so many buttered tortillas and go to Wheaties (still the Breakfast of Champions), you would free up a whole bunch of corn we could brew into gasoline.

So what’s yer beef? You don’t want the farmers to get better prices? Or create jobs out in the sticks? As for feeding animals, we got lots of other stuff for that, including grass.

And those fancy-pants polymers and such, we’ve got substitutes for them too. Like my grand-pappy always said, we should keep it simple! And putting corn into our cars keeps it really simple, meaning we’ll go back to older, better ways on many things. Like not using that frooktose stuff in my RC Cola.

Sugar was good enough for my pappy, it’s good enough for me…
