A New Beginning for Truth, Justice, and the American Way (Maybe) …
Hello and Welcome!
This site is a sounding board for two fellows who have a lot to say from other perspectives than the “same ol’ nonsense” we are pummeled with every day, all day long. By that I mean, the nonsensical blatherings that we hear and see in the entrenched media, who are usually passing themselves off as impartial jounos; we all know they’re not, but we don’t have a forum to holler “Bull—t!”
Well, now there’s a forum.
Did I mention there are two of us? Well, there is, and there ain’t, as we say down Texas way. The site’s mine, and I’ll often post as Slick on here. Slack? He’s, well, slacking. Fishing, drinking, ogling the girls. And like that.
I don’t know why he gets all the fun, but it gives his a different take on things. Sometimes he’ll be posting, sometimes not. Often he’ll invite some drinking buddy of his to post in his place.
Sounds like a good idea; I’ll probably invite some of my high-quality, superior friends and acquaintances to post on my side of the issue too! Like whenever I need a break to go time-wasting, and drinking, and ogling…
It’s going to take a few days to get this site cranked up, so bear with us. Slack’s up in Montana “fishing” (he claims), so I’m doing all the hard work of getting things going, as per usual. But at least it’ll be done right.
What sort of thing will we cover here? Pretty much any issue that really chaps our butts gets our energy up. Gun control, gas prices, online bullying and spam (both kinds). The coming election (and there’s always one coming). Oil and wars. Taxes and spending. Global warming and over-fishing. Dinosaurs like big businesses and big government, and the pygmies they step on. We may even poke fun as some of our elected officials and such, just to keep things balanced. Who knows?
In the meantime, check back often. If you want to post comments, we’ll be asking people to register to the site to keep the too-casual drive-by posters to a minimum. Other than that,
